Kathleen Hanney is a pastel artist living and working in Rochester, New York.  Her artistic career spans over 25 years, always painting, first in oil then watercolor and now, as her greatest love, in pastel.  

In a medium where the application of layers of pastel color bring an exquisite luminosity to each painting, Kathleen’s images pull the viewer in with their textured layers of color that capture the light and mood of each moment depicted.
